The client was building a new home and concerned about future drought and the possibility of water restrictions affecting the newly planted landscape. In addition, the home is located on an urban wildland interface and the possibility of wildfires affecting the property where high on the client’s mind.

WaterSprout design/installed a rainwater system with an underground 100K gallon concrete cistern which captures roof, surface and sub-surface groundwater. The rainwater is used to supply the irrigation system with 50K of capacity reserved to supply the wildfire sprinkler system. Pool water is also supplied to the wildfire sprinkler system for a total capacity of over 100K available to protect the home against wildfires.
